Trevor Kirkman

Trevor is the Senior Partner of the firm. He was educated at Loughborough Grammar School and Cambridge University and has over 35 years experience as a solicitor. 

He has wide experience of commercial property including development and construction, options, sales and purchases. He has experience in dealing with Agricultural matters and Employment work.
 
Trevor can advise on wills and estate planning, including inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
 
Trevor is the Registrar of the Diocese of Leicester and advises on all aspects of ecclesiastical law, charitable trusts and property. He has served on the Committee of the Ecclesiastical Law Society. He is a past president of Leicestershire Law Society and has been a Notary Public since 1978.
 
Trevor is also HM Coroner for Rutland and North Leicestershire.


Carolyn Hull

Carolyn is a Partner in the firm. She qualified in 1984 and has extensive experience and specialises in dealing with Wills, Powers of Attorney, Probate Matters and Trusts.

Carolyn also has experience in dealing with all aspects of Property Law and Family Law.
 
Carolyn is Deputy Coroner for Rutland and North Leicestershire.


Christopher Bell

Chris specialises in Family Law. He is a partner, having joined the firm in February 1999 upon qualification.

Chris is a member of Resolution and a certified member of The Family Law Accreditation Scheme.

Chris's role involves advising clients in relation to all matters that affect couples upon separation, including divorce, children, domestic violence, property and financial issues. He can also provide advice at the beginning of a relationship with regard to pre and post nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements.

Chris has extensive experience in representing clients in family matters.


Nelly Chipman

Nelly joined Latham & Co in 2011. She is an experienced commercial and residential property solicitor. Her area of expertise includes retail property, secured lending, business leases and residential acquisition and disposals. She qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and has developed her residential and commercial property practice.

She also enjoys building relationships with clients, getting to know them, their business and contributing to their success.

She has a LLB and graduated from Manchester University with a Masters in International Business Law.


Thorolf Christensen

Thorolf trained with Latham & Co and qualified as a solicitor in 2008. He specialises in employment law, property law and ecclesiastical law.

Thorolf is a Danish national, he is also fluent in Swedish, Norwegian, and has a sound grasp of German and French.


Kay Hewitt

Kay has 25 years experience in legal practice qualifying as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1985 and as a solicitor in 1999 and joined the practice in 2002.

Kay specialises in Personal Injury claims, private and commercial contractual disputes and employment problems.

 


Kirsten Wood

Kirsten trained with the firm from 2003 and qualified as a solicitor in 2005. She specialises in Wills. Trusts and estate administration, together with Power of Attorney and Court of Protection work. Kirsten is committed to helping people make informed decisions about their futures, and to supporting people dealing with elderly relatives or bereavement.

Kirsten became a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) in 2008 having achieved a distinction in the STEP Diploma.

Kirsten deals with all types of estates including high value estates requiring Inheritance Tax advice. She is highly experienced in obtaining grants of Probate and Letters of Administration. She can also advise on all aspects of Will drafting and is experienced in preparing Powers of Attorney and dealing with the Office of the Public Guardian and Court of Protection.


Amarjit Kaur

Amarjit qualified as a solicitor in 2011, joining Latham & Co in 2012. She specialises in conveyancing matters.


Christine Hill

Christine qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1999 and is now a Chartered Legal Executive. She specialises in residential conveyancing.

Christine handles all types of residential conveyancing work from small pieces of land to large house sales and purchases. She also deals with re-mortgages, auction sales and transfers of equity.

Christine is an experienced conveyancer and is committed to helping both buyers and sellers achieve an early and stress free completion of their transactions.
